Baja Hotel Guide

Coyote Cal's Hostel

The Hottest Mexico Hostel for "Old Baja Adventure!"

Coyote Cal's Cuatro Casas

Enjoying Baja on a shoestring budget can be fun and exhilarating! One great example of this is at Coyote Cal's, a laid back yet spunky hostel above the beach at Erendira. At Coyote Cal's you'll meet an array of interesting international travelers all looking for the same things you are: great waves, great food, great company!

After you get excited about how very close Coyote Cal's is to the beach, your next impression after arriving will undoubtedly be of the striking "Crows Nest" - an amazing upstairs room with a 360 degree view of both ocean and mountains. This room can be reserved with a three day minimum stay and is ideal for couples. Coyote Cal's also offers bunk beds, single rooms, tent sites and RV sites.

Guests love awakening to the smell of the free, homemade waffles and pancakes cooked each morning at 7:30. Water and rice are also free of charge, and between the months of October and March you can buy fresh lobster brought to the hostel by friendly local fishermen. You can even BBQ them for dinner on Coyote Cal's kitchen deck gas grill.

Coyote Cal's is the perfect spot to fill your days with adventure! Rent a surfboard and learn to surf, or grab some gear and go snorkeling! There are great local spots for hiking, mountain biking and off-roading. Spend an hour or two watching the Grey whale migration or dolphins swimming by. When you return to the hostel you can unwind and tan on an ocean terrace, or even enjoy a Thai massage before enjoying some drinks at Coyote Cal's Barefoot Bar and Cantina! The bar is great place to hang out with old and new friends alike. Happy hour is from 5 to 6:30pm every day.

Other fun things to do around the hostel in the evenings include ping pong, darts and watching videos...or just swapping stories with the fascinating group of international folk who appreciate Coyote Cal's for its nice prices, great atmosphere and commitment to traveler safety.

Priding itself on being 'the hottest Mexico hostel for an Old Baja Adventure', Coyote Cal's is full of great energy and you won't find a better deal for a fantastic Baja getaway.
