Adobe Guadalupe

Adobe Guadalupe is a strikingly beautiful hacienda that arises from the heart of the Guadalupe Valley wine country just north of the heart of Ensenada. It is a place to enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings, gourmet cuisine and award winning wine produced under their own private label. The design of the hacienda was inspired by the architecture of the Persian deserts. With breathtaking curves and Spanish tile roofs that reach for the sky, ornate wrought iron, and a stunning fountain in the courtyard, the ambience of Adobe Guadalupe is unforgettable.

A favorite nighttime saying in Mexico wishes that you sleep with the angels ("que duermas con los angelitos"). At Adobe Guadalupe, you will be even closer to the angels in one of six rooms, each room was named after the archangels Uriel, Gabriel, Rafael, Serafiel, Kerubiel and Miguel. The rooms were also inspired by Persian architecture as well as Mexican design.

Lounge at the swimming pool that overlooks Adobe Guadalupe's vineyard and the surrounding mountains. Relax in the jacuzzi. Center yourself in the meditation garden. Stroll through the vineyards and visit the shrine dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe. Wine taste at the wine cave or admire the artwork in the Garcia Amaro gallery. Tour the neighboring wineries on horseback.

The 60 acres of vineyards at Adobe Guadalupe produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvedre, Merlot and Viognier. The wine is named after archangels and has been described as eclectic and ethereal. Hugo D'Acosta is Adobe Guadalupe's winemaker.

Adobe Guadalupe is a special place to hold an event. Tables can be set up around the graceful fountain in the courtyard. It is especially enchanting at night when dozens of candles give off a warm glow illuminating the surroundings.
