Directions to San Ysidro Ready Lane Entrance

Updated April 10, 2023

Reliable Route to the San Ysidro Ready Lane Entrance

The following video and map depict a longer way to get to the entrance of the Ready Lanes. We feel it should generally be reliable even in heavy traffic times such as at the end of a long weekend. Please note that in peak travel periods such as the holiday season, this route may not work because the line can be much further past where you join the line in this video. Do not try to cut in the line or pay anyone to help you cut in the line - this is punishable by traffic fines and even confiscation of your vehicle.

Shorter Route to the San Ysidro Ready Lane Entrance

Here is a shorter route to the San Ysidro Ready Lane, that is not shown in the video. Please be advised that if you attempt to take this shorter route when there are longer wait times, you may be redirected by traffic officers to get the back of the line. This can be very confusing for a lot of border crossers, which is why we recommend the longer route above to less-experienced border crossers.
