San Ysidro - Regular (All Traffic) Lanes Directions

Directions to San Ysidro Regular (All Traffic) Lanes

Preferred Route to the San Ysidro Regular (All Traffic) Entrance

The following video and maps depict the preferred way to get to the regular border entrance at San Ysidro, also known as the "All Traffic" lanes. The All Traffic lanes accept the most types of identity documents and are generally used by border crossers who do not meet eligibility requirements for either the ReadyLane or SENTRI lanes. We feel the route depicted in the video and map below should be reliable during most times of the year. We have also included a slightly longer route to use during peak travel periods such as on long weekends or the christmas holiday season. Both routes go to the same waypoint at the entrance of the All Traffic (Regular Lane) entrance. In general you should be able to use your navigation app of choice to map to the waypoint provided below and have no problems properly entering the line. The preferred route takes you to the All Traffic entry point along the "Via Internacional"

Once you reach the All Traffic entry waypoint, make sure you are in the correct lane. You should be in the lane second to the left under the sign that says "All Traffic".

Additionally, we highly suggest you watch the video below which follows the route described here and provides terrific visual cues for navigating to the All Traffic entry point.

Longer Route to the San Ysidro Regular (All Traffic) Lanes

This is a longer, more direct, route from the toll-road the leads you directly to the All Traffic lanes even during peak travel periods. Instead of taking Via Internacional as in the video and route above, you take Calle Segundo all the way and exit the same on-ramp portrayed in the video
