Welcome to the Baja Bound Insurance Services page about surfing Calafia and Bus Stops. We hope you find this information helpful as you plan your next surf trip to Mexico. Remember, with www.bajabound.com you can buy and print out your Mexican auto insurance policy before you go, so you don't have to make a stop at the border. The journey begins with Baja Bound!

Located right in front of the Calafia Hotel is a righthand point break that needs a big south/southwest swell in order to start working. The lineup as well as the beach is really rocky, and it only breaks when it gets big, so for those reasons alone this wave is for experienced surfers only. Calafia is fickle and only breaks well a few times per year so you have to be pretty lucky to be able to catch it when it is on. On smaller days, there is a righthander on the inside called Bus Stops that can be a fun option. It picks up everything from a south to a straight west swell and is protected by the prevailing northwest wind in the afternoon. To get to Calafia, exit the toll road just before the AM/PM on the south side of Rosarito. Head south for two miles and you will see condo towers on the cliff to your right.
