Ruta Del Vino Bike Ride

Ruta Del Vino Bike Ride

The first annual Ruta del Vino Bike Ride and Wine Festival will take place on Saturday, July 18th. This brand new ride is being produced by the organizers of the legendary Rosarito Ensenada Bike Ride. The ride will start and finish at Rancho Guadalupe in El Porvenir and will take cyclists on a scenic 36 mile loop through the beautiful Guadalupe Valley wine country. Riders will enjoy a closed course and pass by over 25 wineries along the way.

The ride is open to both advanced cyclists who would like to compete and non-competitive riders who prefer to cruise and take their time. All participants will receive a timing chip, and those who would like to race can get an "elite start" that will allow them to start first and be eligible for awards and prizes in several categories. The ride will begin at 10AM Saturday morning.

Once riders cross the finish line, there will be a festival of wine, beer, local cuisine and live music. The area's best winemakers will be offering tastings of their award winning wines and fresh local cuisine will be prepared by top local chefs. Bike ride participants will also recieve an engraved wine glass and a free wine tasting. Entry to the festival is free and will be open to the public.
