Helping Your Pet Adjust to Warmer Climate

We come from Seattle and I am worried that the Mexican climate may be too warm for my pet. Do you have any suggestions?

The truth is that it does get very warm in parts of Mexico. No-one can decide for you whether or not it is too risky to bring your pet, but it seems like a safer bet to bring along pets that love travel and adventure ~ and leave pets (especially the older ones) who prefer to be quiet and reclusive at home in their native territory.

If you decide to bring your pets with you on a road trip into Mexico, make sure that you give them plenty of water to drink (bring your own, if you can) and that you NEVER lock them up in a car or RV for any long period of time.

Just like in the US, pets left locked in hot cars don't live for very long. It would be tragic for you to go through the effort of bringing your pet with you to Mexico, only to accidentally suffocate it!
